It will replace all.
When I bought this pack its sole purpose in my house was to replace all of my other packs with the exception of a day pack. Mission complete and job well done. It is extremely rugged, comfy to wear and has enough room to carry anything you want/need. I can't tell you how many pack I have destroyed hunting in the winter in AK at -45F. I can't wait to replace my day pack now with a Badlands Pack.

Elk Haulin' Monster
I used this pack for the past 2yrs. to pack out 5 elk and this pack ROCKS! I'm a big guy and had this pack loaded with close to 200lbs. of elk quarters and other gear every time I shot an elk or one of friends did. This pack performed flawlessly and was as comfortable as a pack could be while carring 200lbs. in it. I had been previously using a 2800 series pack, which worked great...but this pack did make the hard part of a hunt...just that much easier. I really can't say enough about this pack. The ONLY thing I can think of that I would like to see on it...is some type of built in rainfly. Hint...hint ;)

One tough pack
Have used the OX for a few seasons now. The frame design/meat hauler is what allows this pack to be so comfortable with 100+lbs on your back. The load is easily 2'' closer to your back than on a typical frame pack, which translates to more weight being transfered to your hips, rather than pulling down into your shoulders. The bag is well designed and makes for efficient packing, rather than a typical single bag top loading pack. The suspension is very nice and easily adjustable to your torso. The first time I was really able to appreciate this pack was carrying a load of caribou meat + camp and gear approx 10 miles back to base camp. The OX made the trip an easy one. You'll be hard pressed to find a better pack than this one.
