BINO CASE MAG is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs a few tweaks IMHO First I'll start by saying I'm not using this for hunting. But I do use it regularly for field work and I love it so these recommendations are not really gripes but suggestions base on my preferences. It fits my Swarovski SLC 8x42 nice an snug. I am a biologist regularly walking over 10 miles per day doing surveys for birds and other wildlife. IMHO this case needs to have clips on the tethers instead or in addition to the split rings so that you can remove your glass from the case easily. I often view wildlife from the truck as it is often a good blind for birding depending on the species. Naturally I want my glass secure in the field but should be able to detach it easily. Second, albeit minor. The attached lens cloth is a novelty, it should have a clip too or no attachment at all. These things get gummed up and are only good for one or two wipes before needing to be washed. It's gonna get cut off after I use it once. I pack a few extra lens clothes in the pocket that I can wash. Nice to have them on hand for the sunglasses too. For me the hydration pouch and harness is too much bulk and not comfortable to carry with a pack on. I wrote to the guys and they sent me a set of 4 clips that allowed me to attach this unit directly to my shoulder straps on my Diablo pack. Easy to take off the pack by un-clipping the right sides. Adds an extra step but this was a huge improvement for me. I use the harness to drape over the passenger seat head rest longways so that my bins are easily accessed from the side while in the driver seat. I just un-clip the case from the pack and into the truck when I'm not on foot. Perhaps the mentioned tweaks are more personal preference than worthy upgrades.

What is the clip hanging off of the bottom for? Way to hold you bow while hiking?

Asked by: Andy010
Hey Andy, The hook on the bottom is called the "bow hook" which allows you to hang your bow from the D-loop while glassing. That way you can use both hands to hold your binoculars without putting the bow on the ground or in between your legs. Any idea when the Realtree pattern will be back in stock?

Asked by: Flip
Hey Jake, The Bino Case Mag Realtree APX should be back in stock around the end of March. I would highly recommend looking at Badlands Approach though as it is the most advanced pattern ever developed and will make a huge difference in your hunts. www.badlandsapproach.com. When will the Bino Case Mag and Bino Case Zipper be back in stock with the Realtree pattern? Thanks!

Asked by: diehard_bowhunter
The Bino Case Mag Realtree should be in stock within the next month or so. The Bino Case Zippered is discontinued and will not be in stock again. The Bino Case Zippered will be available this spring in Approach. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to give us a call or shoot us an email and we will gladly help you! 1-800-269-1875 or info@badlandspacks.com.

Why don't you offer clips on some of your hunting packs that would allow clipping a magnetic bino case to it directly. Thus eliminating a second harness.

Asked by: nahartl
Hey Nick, We do not recommend wearing the bino case connected to a pack. Most people prefer being able to remove their pack while still having their binocular case on their chest. Will Vortex Razor 12X50 binoculars fit the bino case mag?

Asked by: EHAYS
Hey Eric, It honestly depends on how old they are (binoculars keep getting smaller throughout the years). So for instance I have a pair of Vortex Viper 10x50's that were made 5 years ago, my dad has a pair of Vortex Razor 12x50's and the Razor's are actually slightly shorter and skinnier. Both of which fit inside the Bino Case Mag. So I would have to say that yours should fit inside just fine. Will this ever be available without the water bladder? I really want one but without the bladder in the back!

Asked by: Huntelk
The new Bino XR that is coming out this Spring will have a harness without a water reservoir compartment. I believe we will have the option to purchase these same harnesses separately eventually. You can always remove the pouch on the back by cutting it out and it will not effect the warranty. I want something that can also carry a field guide to birds, inside or out. Thoughts----- to be used for birding only

Asked by: Mardigras Cajun
The Bino Case Mag does have plenty of organizational compartments within the case so you should be able to fit a field guide in there just fine. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to give us a call or shoot us an email and we will gladly help you! 1-800-269-1875 or info@badlandspacks.com.
