The roots at Badlands run deep and many may not know, that the company started two decades ago making mountaineering packs for guides going up the likes of Everest, K2 and Denali. We learned two important lessons from those days. One: mountaineering equipment was light years ahead of anything else out there. Two: we liked hunting a lot more. Fast-forward to today and hunting pack technology has far surpassed mountaineering and we still love hunting more. None the less when designing the Point, we took many of the concepts and ideas which worked so well while scaling some northern face or a first ascent and fused them into this pack. It‘s simple, it‘s light and built like a brick $H!Thouse.. The suspension is based on our AirTrack™ System and offers a highly advanced zippered back panel access, making getting to your gear easier than ever. It is funny in life, how sometimes the longer you do something the more you realize, that less really is more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pack This is a perfect day pack. Expands to hold what you need for hunting light! Not gonna carry out an elk in it but will get the first load out nicely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Muzzleloader Hunting I have been using the pack to hunt muzzleloader for the late season. Pack has plenty of space and is well designed. More than enough room to keep some extra cloths and all my muzzleloader stuff. Only draw back is the distance from the waist strap to the shoulder straps is non adjustable. Since I am kind of bulky when I draw the shoulder straps tight it pulls the waist up too high. So I can pretty much only use it without the waist strap. Other than that great pack.

Hello, I was interested in using this pack to haul in my Lone Wolf stand and sticks for whitetail hunting. It looks like it has good set up to attach the stand and sticks to total weight of (27lbs but the platform is 19 inches wide.) Is there another

Asked by: Byron H
Hey Byron, Honestly, most of our packs are capable of attaching a tree stand to. The Point would do great, but I would also recommend a pack with an internal frame if you want it to distribute the weight better. In that case, I would recommend the 2200 pack or Diablo Dos. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to give us a call or shoot us an email and we will gladly help you! 1-800-269-1875 or info@badlandspacks.com.

I would love to get my dad a pack for all season use. We bow and rifle hunt in a few different states in various terrain. I was looking for a recommendation for a versatil pack to meet all his hunting needs.

Asked by: BryarR
Hey Bryar, The Point pack is a great option, it does not have a frame though. So if you are planning on hauling a large amount of meat, I would recommend a pack with an internal frame at least. Other options would be the 2200 pack(most versatile pack EVER) and the Diablo Dos. The 2200 pack has been the most popular pack in the hunting industry for the past 20 years! It will get any job done and I am sure he would love it. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to give us a call or shoot us an email and we will gladly help you out! 1-800-269-1875 or info@badlandspacks.com.

I am looking to buy a pack for my 2 boys, ages 11 and 14. They are not very big boys (yet, hopefully!), and I do not want to buy something that they will drown in. Would you say this pack is way too big for children? Hoping for one they can grow with.

Asked by: Good for kids
This pack is relavtivley long, I do not know the torso lengths for your boys, but I would guess it might be a little long for them right now. I would recommend the following packs for shorter torso lengths that should fit those ages. The Pursuit, Stalker, Reaper, Reactor, and the Source are all ones that should fit most kids that age. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to give us a call or shoot us an email and we will gladly help you out! 1-800-269-1875 or info@badlandspacks.com.

Does the Point pack allow for carrying a bow? I see a picture with a rifle, but I'm looking for maximum utility and would like to carry both. If not, can you recommend a pack that can accommodate both a long gun and a compound bow? Thanks, Ryan

Asked by: gertz7342
Hey Ryan, Yes, the Point can carry a bow very easily. It doesn't come with a Bow Boot, but you can purchase one separately for extra security when carrying a bow. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to give us a call or shoot us an email at 1-800-269-1875 or info@badlandspacks.com.

Is this the pack that goes on the ox frame?

Asked by: Rainy
This is the Point pack, it is not designed to connect to the Ox Frame. The Ox Pack was designed to fit on the Ox Frame, however, they have both been discontinued and we are sold out of the Ox Pack. However, we never sold the Ox Pack separate from the Ox Frame, you would have had to buy the whole kit with the frame and pack together if that makes sense. The new version of the Ox will be available sometime in 2017 and will be completely redesigned from the original Ox. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to give us a call or shoot us an email. 1-800-269-1875 or info@badlandspacks.com.
