About
Marc

Born with an adventurous spirit, as a child Marc dreamed of someday going on great hunting excursions in the rocky mountains of the American west. When the opportunity to move out west from his rural east Texas hometown presented itself, he jumped on it! Over the past 20 years Marc has backpacked and bowhunted all over the west pursuing elk, black bear, pronghorn antelope, bighorn sheep, and mule deer. “Nothing is more challenging or rewarding than strapping on a pack with a week’s worth of provisions and losing myself deep in the rocky mountains with nothing but my bow and arrow” says Marc. “There is something almost spiritual about descending upon the trailhead after a long, grueling week in the Colorado Alpine. Velvet-covered antlers of a big mule deer buck riding atop a hefty load of fresh venison and a bow hanging heavy in my hand is truly a labor of love.”

Marc’s favorite animal is the mule deer and he bowhunts the alpine basins they call home in multiple states each year.

Marc serves on the factory pro-staffs of many industry-leading companies including, Hoyt, Goldtip, Vortex Optics, and many more. Marc is also a published outdoor writer and public speaker. Marc is an expert backcountry hunter and hosts seminars and lectures on the topics of bowhunting mule deer, backpacking, and archery tactics at some of the countries biggest sporting and outdoor venues, including the International Sportsman’s Expositions and The Western Hunting and Conservation Expo in Salt Lake City, Utah. Marc is a proud member of the Mule Deer Foundation. He has bowhunted for over four decades, has been married to his high school sweetheart for 26 years, and has two married children and three grandkids.
